Fair Parade
The Washington Parish Fair begins with a parade highlighting our parish's creativity and talent. This year’s theme is “Small Town, Big Fair.” The parade is a fun and family-friendly way to start the largest free fair in the United States. The 2024 parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct 16th, 2024. Floats will be staged at Franklinton High School. All marching groups will stage at the Franklinton Farmer’s Market area and be directed to the parade in progress by a parade official. The parade will follow the prescribed route through town and end at the Washington Parish Fair Grounds.

Brheanna Boudreaux co-anchors the WWL Louisiana Morning News every weekday starting at 5 a.m. The avid coffee lover is a wife to her husband Hunter and mom to three girls, Ivy, Remi and Indie. The Emmy award winning anchor has covered stories across the US and says the best part of journalism is always the people she gets to meet along the way. The Army National Guard Veteran got her journalism start in Lafayette and is thrilled to be back in Louisiana, working for a community she deeply loves. She loves being a part of the WWL Louisiana morning team who has become more like family.
When she’s not in the studio or reporting in the community Brheanna loves to workout. Going for a run or taking a Pilates class is her favorite way to clear her mind. She is a huge sports fan and bleeds black and Gold. On weekends she’s usually pushing her family out the door to explore New Orleans and the surrounding areas or taking a trip out of state with her girls. Her favorite things include a vanilla iced latte from local coffee shopes, cooking and baking from scratch, interior design, planning events and is also a secret estate sale lover. If you follow her on social media you know she also enjoys sharing bits of her life on social media forcing her family to be in her reels.
Brheanna graduated from James Madison University with the degree in Journalism and a minor in sports communication. Her affection for journalism started early when she was in middle school. Over the years she realized what she loved so much about serving in the military and as a journalist is, has been, and will always be helping people.
You can catch Brheanna, reporting live from the fairgrounds before the parade on her second year of fair coverage on the WWL News Morning Show!
